Rehab Battle of the Bands has reached its penultimate week – the final semi-final before the grand final itself.

Appearing at this Sunday’s live showdown hosted by DJ Trev in this Harrogate nightclub on Parliament Street will be four of the area’s hottest original bands:

Pips - Funky rock three-piece influenced by Red Chilli Peppers and Rage Against The Machine. Line-up includes Tom Skinner, Chris Petch and James Bentham.

Hell Fire Jack – Raw and amazingly powerful two-piece offshoot of modern garage-blues masters Idle Maestro featuring Alex Trewhitt and Josef Karl.

The Shades – Interesting, young six-piece with a love for the ‘keytar’ and Jimi Hendrix songs.

Meth Candy – Lovely acoustic duo formed by Dave Sowden.

Last Sunday’s first semi-final saw Oscillantern, Set Sails, Humble Scoundrel and Day Old Hate battle it out.

In the event, it was a draw between Set Sails and Humble Scoundrel but both make it through to the grand final at Rehab on Easter Sunday.

The winning act will receive a £500 cash prize plus lots of goodies from sponsors such as Westminster Salon Harrogate, Sudo Attire Menswear and more.
