Calling all singing duos or solo singers. A member of The Voice production team is visiting Harrogate’s legendary Blues Bar today, Monday, May 12.

The town’s longest home of seven-days-a-week live music has thrown open its weekly open mic session hosted by local musician Pete Oliver to anyone who hopes to make the cut for the hit BBC reality TV show.

Earlier, Blues Bar co-owner Simon Colgan tweeted from @BluesBarCafe: “They (the Voice) rang up with fairly short notice and asked to come down. I know a few people are pretty excited about it.”

This is the first stage of the producers’ lengthy search for vocal talent for the forthcoming fourth series of The Voice.

The Blues Bar is emphasising to anyone who may come along that the production team member’s visit will not contain actual “auditions”.
