THE marriage took place at Christ Church between Rebecca Louden, daughter of Peter and Kina Louden, of Harogate and Matthew McDonnell, son of Chris McDonnell of Sedgefield and Ann McDonnell of Markington. The bride was given away by her father, and wore a strapless ivory princess style dress by Jenny Packham. The dress was customised by Andrea Bambridge of York and worn with antique jewellery.
The bridesmaids Laura Kennedy, Charlotte Shrimpton, Nicola Ayscough, Abi Swales and Harriet Louden wore dusky pink, mid calf-length dresses. John Kennedy was best man supported by groomsmen Nick Louden, Matt Welsh, James McDonnell and Steve McDonnell.
The Rev Caroline Falkinghan conducted the ceremony and the organist was Jonathan P Eyre. Music played - entrance: Arrival of the Queen of Sheba (Handel) exit: Toccato Organ Symphony No 5 (Widor) Sheffield University choir sang with an oboe soloist. A reception was held at Ripley Castle and the couple honeymooned in Singapore and Australia. The bride is customer service manager for Yorkshire Water and bridegroom national sales manager for 3M.
