The Velo-Go-Go Fanpark will open its doors tonight, streaming the live team presentation from Leeds Arena.

More than 100 portable toilets have been brought to the site which can hold up to 20,000 people.

20 different food stalls will be set up in the fanpark, and the bar is expecting to serve 100,000 pints to thirsty cycling fans.

Rob Westworth, Velo Go-Go site manager said: “The town is so excited now, you can feel it in the atmosphere.

“It is good to see how quickly the scepticism in the town has turned to excitement, it is going to be a great event.”

Tonight the fan park opens at 5pm with big screens showing Tour de France archive footage from 6pm and the rider presentation from 7pm, followed by live music.

The park will be open from 10am until 10.30pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
