YOUNG fashionistas have used their talent for textiles to help raise money for a local charity.
Fashion design students from Northallerton College staged a glitzy catwalk show in aid of Chopsticks, a community workshop and resource charity which provides supported work for adults with disabilities.
Modelling a range of garments and textile products including bags, wall art, toys and home accessories, the event – held in the school’s main hall – attracted more than 90 visitors raising £330 for the Northallerton-based charity.
Northallerton College’s head of textiles Linda Breckon said: “We have been running our annual fashion show for over four years now and as well as being a great opportunity to show off the amazing work our students produce it is also a wonderful chance to help local charities.”
Chairman of Chopsticks John Coulson added: “It is marvellous that the students have put so much effort into raising this amount for our charity.”
