Superb time secures Dalton second place at Harewood

The penultimate round of the Club’s 2011 Road Championship saw a strong turnout of 20 Nidd Valley Road Runners making the short trip to Harewood to compete in the 10 mile trail race hosted by Valley Striders.

A challenging multi-terrain mix featuring some sharp undulations in the final stages of the race did not deter Lee Dalton, who ran superbly to finish second overall in an impressive 59.51.

The chasing pack was led by Alan Davidson, who achieved an excellent 1.10.52. He was followed by Nick Iles 1.18.54, Phil Fernyhough 1.19.07, Tony Ledwaba-Chapman 1.20.14, Simon Smith 1.20.17, Dave Cardani 1.21.48, Steve Newton 1.21.52, Paul Manning 1.24.57, Christine Holleran 1.25.16, Rob Snow 1.27.48, Sheena Jackson 1.31.06, Helen Gregory 1.36.04, Sarah Mattocks 1.39.58, Jenny Manning 1.40.45, Annie Burns 1.41.57, Sarah Chalmers 1.44.36, Judy Greenwood 1.51.02, Rebecca Ventress 1.56.29 and Aimi Blueman 1.56.30.
