Harrogate squash star Jenny Duncalf opened her British Open bid in emphatic style as she eased through her first round match in 24 minutes.
The 30-year-old eighth seed demolished American qualifier Latasha Khan 11-4, 11-2, 11-2 at Pontefract Squash Club.
Duncalf will play Egyptian Nour El Tayeb in the second round on Thursday at Hull City’s KC Stadium.
El Tayeb shocked ninth seed Camille Serme, from France, on Tuesday.
Should Duncalf progress to the quarter-finals, she could face another Egyptian, third seed Raneem El Weleily.
Duncalf’s England teammate Laura Massaro, seeded second, is in the same half of the draw and is a possibly semi-final opponent.
