A Boroughbridge grandmother completed the London Marathon for the fourth time.

Lorraine Matheson. from Low Moor Farm, tackled the gruelling race around the captial last month.

The 47-year-old, mother of three and grandmother of one was running for the Household Cavalry operational casualty fund.

She is aiming to raise around £500 for the charity which she was inspired to run for through a colleague who used to be in the Household Cavalry.

Lorraine works as a housekeeper at Newby Hall and in her spare time enjoys riding her motorbike and icing cakes.

Anyone who would like to support Lorraine can still give sponsorship at her Just Giving page.
