Harrogate Town have added utility man Anton Brown as their second signing for next season.
The 25-year-old has joined the CNG outfit from Conference side Alfreton Town.
The midfielder, who can also play in defence, made 285 appearances for Alfreton, scoring 24 goals.
Town boss Simon Weaver said: “I’ve admired Anton for a long time.
“He’s very strong and competes physically but he can play as well.”
Brown won Alfreton’s supporters’ player of the season for the second time in the 2011/12 season.
He told Town’s website: “Once I met with the manager and he talked about the club ethos and the direction the club is preparing to go, I felt it was the right move for me.
“It was important for me to move to a club going in the right direction.”
Town’s pre-season clash with Championship side Sheffield Wednesday has been brought forward a day to July 23.
