Letter: Recyclers are blocking drives

The instruction regarding domestic bins and boxes are being followed by the residents but when the recyclers are returning bins and boxes they put them in front of the drive so that cars cannot get in or out.

I have seen them pass where the bin/box was collected to place it right in the middle of the drive.

For the sake of two feet, I have to park round the corner or right up the street, come and move the obstruction, then go back for my car. The man next door is 80 with heart problems and he has a long walk to clear the drive before he can get his car out.

I cannot believe that this practice is confined to a few houses and I think we should all expect sensible and thoughtful service from our recyclers.

I did contact the recycling unit a few weeks ago but things haven’t changed - yet.
