In appreciation of all your support

On behalf of all members of the Harrogate and District Branch of Volunteers for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People I send our sincerest appreciation to all of our charity’s wonderful supporters who attended our “Thank you” event at the centre on Gracious Street in Knaresborough on March 26.

Our special thanks to the Mayor of Knaresborough (Carole Reid) and her Consort for joining us and to Jacqui Hall and Chris England of CNG in Harrogate who have been so kind and supportive of our efforts and for sponsoring our annual sales bazaar. This year the bazaar will again be held in the Castle Hall at COGS in Knaresborough and is on June 21.

We were delighted to have such a good attendance at the talk and demonstration on March 26 from many individuals and local businesses who have supported us over a number of years and who so willingly allow those of who are volunteer puppy socialising trainers to bring even the youngest of pups into their premises for training exercises.

From the reaction on the night everyone clearly enjoyed and was impressed with the demonstration by our treasurer Joyce Patterson and her hearing dog Toby which so plainly displayed just how much a hearing dog can totally change and improve the everyday life of its deaf partner as well as being a wonderful companion.

Thank you again for all your support and we could not do and achieve all the things we require in order to provide more and more trained hearing dogs without you.
