Youngsters at RAF Leeming held their Oscar ceremony to showcase animated films put together as part of their school holidays activities programme.
Over the course of four days, the budding film makers all aged between six and 14 painstakingly drew scenery and modelled characters which were then patiently shot one frame at a time to tell the story.
After hours of hard work and at times a great deal of frustration, the final six short films were shown to family and friends at a red carpet premiere.
Imaginative titles included DJ Daniel and the Donuts, Three Little Pigs with a Difference and Moshi Monsters.
A group of judges then deliberated on the artistic merits of each piece before declaring the overall best film to be Dr Evil Pants and the Gummi Bears for its use of mythical creatures and comedy.
Bev Baxter, who helps run the School Holiday Activities Programme at RAF Leeming said: “All of these guys have shown some tremendous skills.
“We are all very proud of everything they have achieved.”
