Watch puppies being looked after at a Yorkshire rehoming centre enjoy a four-a-side match ahead of the FIFA World Cup.

Staff at Dogs Trust Leeds are getting behind England’s bid for glory in Brazil by naming their own adorable team of eight puppies after players in the England squad.

Staff said: “The eight week old Collie pups are looking to win their perfect match in loving homes and just like any team would benefit from a little extra training.”

Staff have named the football loving pups, who were handed into the Rehoming Centre when their owner was no longer able to care for them; Frank Lampawd, Steven Gurrard, Phil Bones, Jordan Hounderson, Ross Barkley, Phil Wagielka, Jack Russell Wilshire and Spaniel Sturridge.
