Two large goods vehicles and a car have collided on the A1.

The accident happened on the northbound carriageway just south of the Scotch Corner junction at around 11am this morning, Tuesday, June 7.

The fire brigade were called to the scene at 11.14am, and fire engines from Colburn, Bedale, Ripon and Darlington went to the site.
