Man hurt in Fearby crash

An elderly man has been taken to hospital after his car overturned in a road accident in Fearby.

The man, in his 70s, was airlifted to James Cook hospital in Middlesborough after his Mercedes ML320 was in collision with another car.

Firefighters cut the man free after his car came to rest on its roof.

The accident happened at the crossroads in Fearby at around 11.30am on Sunday, October 2.

The man was taken to hospital, but his injuries were not described as serious.

The driver of the other car, a Volkswagon Polo, also in his 70s, was not hurt in the crash.
