THE wedding between Emma Jane Reeve, daughter of Susan Reeve, of West Cliffe Terrace, Harrogate, and David James Brian Meadus, son of Stewart Meadus, of Harcourt Drive, Harrogate and Gloria Carruthers, of California, took place at Rudding Park.
The bride was given away by her uncle, Michael Reeve, and wore an ivory silk and silk organza made-to-measure dress designed by Limited Editions with coloured petticoats. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of roses and wax flowers by Lynda Moss, and wore hand-made diamond earrings and eternity ring, and a diamond bracelet from the groom.
Chief bridesmaid was Victoria Culling and the bridesmaids were Aimee Bullock, Tina Reeve, Amanda Reeve and Lauren Spencer. They wore pale green silk skirts and pale peach bodices and carried hand-tied bouquets of spray roses and silk bags made and embroidered by the bride. Their jewellery was pearl drop earrings and co-ordinating bracelets hand-made by Mrs J Culling. Ross Anderson was best man, and groomsmen were Jody Meadus, the bridegroom's brother, and Joe Semczuk, the bride's cousin, and the ring bearer was Matthew Spencer. The ceremony was conducted by the Registrar from Harrogate. The bride's aunt, Mrs Jane Reeve, sang The Flower Duet with friends from Treble Clef, Helen Geldert and Kay Broomhead.
During the ceremony, music was provided by Spa Quartet; the Bridal Chorus was played entering and the Wedding March leaving. After a reception at Rudding Park, the couple honeymooned in Mauritius.
The guests were treated to a chocolate fountain and fireworks display. The bride and bridegroom had taken dancing lessons and performed a rumba to Michael Buble’s The Way You Look Tonight.
The cake was made to look like a stack of Tiffany's boxes as the couple had travelled to New York to buy their wedding rings from Tiffany's.
The bride is a teacher at Coppice Valley Primary School and the bridegroom a sales executive at Victoria BMW.
