THE next stage of Harrogate International Centre’s multi-million pound overhaul has been approved.
As £13m works to create new halls near completion, the HIC has been granted permission for more minor works.
On Tuesday, planners agreed that the venue could resurface a piazza, upgrade disabled access to its distinctive “drum”, remodel brick planters and add a handrail.
A £13m expansion, creating Halls H and G, will be completed in December. It has taken 18 months to complete and was funded by Harrogate Council and Yorkshire Forward.
