Church Harvest: Priest in charge, Dr Julie Nelson conducted the harvest thanksgiving service at St Michael's Church, Kirklington. Mr Leonard Abel was the guest speaker and he gave an excellent sermon to a good congregation. Symbols were carried to the altar by the congregation. The Rev Nelson accepted these and placed them on the altar. Mr Neil Craddock organised the entertainment, playing the guitar and singing. Ernest Nelson, Mrs Jackie Dyer and Mrs J S Reed gave humorous poetry.

Coffee Morning: Mrs Rona Gibson organised a coffee morning last Saturday at Kirklington village hall. Mrs S Hall and Barbara Doube served coffee or tea. Mrs Gibson thanked all who helped, gave food and articles for sale. The sum of 465 was raised for the extension cupboard.
