A CROSS-BENCH peer and human rights advocate will speak in Harrogate on International Women’s Day.
Baroness Caroline Cox has been invited to the town by Soroptimist International of Harrogate and District.
Every year, she spends six months in different parts of the world, offering aid and advocacy on humanitarian relief projects, often behind enemy lines. She will talk about challenges to human rights in today’s world.
The free event is at Wesley Chapel, Oxford Street, on Thursday, March 8, at 7.30pm. All are welcome.
