Award-winning 20-acre Himalyan Garden and Sculpture Park at Grewelthorpe will be opening for a week from October 24-November 1.

A spokesman for the attraction near Ripon said that the autumn colours are in abundance for visitors to enjoy.

And they added: “The well-marked woodland walks along the valley enable visitors to enjoy views of lakes and other water features as well as the 60-strong collection of stunning sculptures which are the work of widely-acclaimed artists from several different countries.

“Any golfing enthusiasts visiting the gardens this autumn will also appreciate the newly installed stone bridge which is a copy of one of the well-known landmark bridges at the Augusta National Golf Club in the USA.”

The nursery, which has some 200 different varieties of rhododendron as well as many other shrubs for sale, will also be open.

The gardens open 10-4pm.
