An investigation into the tampering of cattle at last year’s Great Yorkshire Show has been concluded after the exhibitors at the centre of the allegations withdrew their appeal.
The exhibitors concerned had initially protested their innocence after allegations of animal tampering during the dairy exhibitions.
However the appeals have now been withdrawn and a mutual agreement has been reached in which they will not exhibit at future Great Yorkshire Shows.
Nigel Pulling, Chief Executive of the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, said: “The outstanding issue relating to allegations of tampering with dairy cattle at the 2013 Great Yorkshire Show has been resolved.
“The exhibitors concerned have withdrawn their Appeals.
“By mutual consent, they will not be exhibiting at any future Great Yorkshire Shows.”
The society said no further statements will be made on the matter.
