More than £8.7 million of National Lottery funding was invested into Harrogate last year.

Across Harrogate, 43 grants were awarded, providing a vital cash boost to local arts, sport and heritage and community groups helping the area’s vulnerable people.

Grants awarded included: £9,249 to Yorkshire Cancer Research in Harrogate to create a community liaison room, office and storage space, £10,000 to Killinghall Village Hall Trust to install new windows and a heating system at their village hall and £83,268 to Harrogate Citizens Advice Bureau

Projects wishing to enter the National Lottery Awards can do so by visiting the website, or call 0207 293 3599. Entries must be received by midnight on 12 March. The winners of The National Lottery Awards will receive a £2,000 cash prize and national recognition.
