A West Yorkshire gang who were arrested in connection with the discovery of a hidden cannabis factory in Knaresborough are due to appear at court.
More than 150 plants were found on the lower floor of S&R Motors on Harrogate Road, Ferrensby, on Tuesday, April 28 when a local officer became suspicious about the site.
The hidden operation was discovered after the officer went to investigate and found the plants, along with equipment commonly used in the production of cannabis.
A 40-year-old man from Leeds has been charged with production of cannabis and perverting the course of justice.
A 36-year-old man from Leeds has been charged with production of cannabis and possession of cannabis.
A 31-year-old man from Pudsey has been charged with production of cannabis. All three men will appear at Harrogate Magistrates’ Court on October 22.
A 24-year-old man from Wetherby and a 60-year-old man from Bradford were also arrested in connection with the investigation, but have been released without charge.
