Man wields axe in pub brawl

A man wielding an axe threatened men who were fighting outside of a Northallerton pub.

At around 3.30am on Sunday 22 September 2013, two groups of men were involved in a fight outside the Golden Lion Hotel on Northallerton High Street.

During the altercation a small white van pulled up and another man got out before threatening the men with an axe.

Officers are making enquiries to identify the owner of the white van and the men involved in the fight.

A 22-year-old man suffered slight injuries to his face during the fight.
