NORTH Yorkshire Police and the Health and Safety Executive have launched a joint investigation after a man was killed when a building under renovation collapsed in a village near Harrogate.
Police, firefighters and paramedics were alerted to the property on Cold Cotes Road in Felliscliffe at around 3pm on Monday. An air ambulance also attended.
The 48-year-old man who was trapped in the building was pronounced dead at the scene. A post mortem will be carried out in due course.
Police not yet in a position to identify the man, and police and HSE enquiries are ongoing at the location.
