Machinery stolen from Fearby farm

Thieves have stolen £1000 worth of machinery from farming buildings near Masham.

The offenders cut the bolt off the outer door of a building on Micklebury Lane in Fearby sometime between 8pm on Thursday, March 15 and 8am on Friday, March 16.

They then cut the padlocks off a container inside and stole a yellow Cutskill 35 plasma steel cutter worth £490 and the compressor valued at £500.

Ripon police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

PC Jayne Lambert, of Ripon police, said: “I am urging anyone who saw any suspicious people or vehicles in the area at the time of the theft to contact the police or Crimestoppers with information.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who has been offered any similar items for sale in recent weeks.”
