Hit and run leaves pedestrian with broken leg

A hit and run driver left a 35-year-old Harrogate man with serious leg injuries yesterday evening (Monday December 30).

A mid-blue Vauxhall Corsa failed stop after hitting the man on Station Parade near the junction with York Place.

The injured man was taken to Harrogate District Hospital with a suspected broken leg.

The car losts it’s nearside wing mirror in the crash.

Police are trying to trace the driver of the car and are appealing for witnesses to the incident and to anyone who can help identify the car and driver.

In Particular they want to hear from anyone who has seen a mid-blue Corsa which is missing a nearside wing mirror and to anyone in the motor trade who has been asked to supply a new wing mirror for a Corsa.
