Richmond police have released these images of a suspect following an incident of shoplifting in the town.

At 6.50pm on Wednesday, March 14 alcohol was stolen from the Co-op store on Queen’s Road.

A man entered the store and loaded a trolley with several hundred pounds worth of spirits and champagne.

He then left the shop without paying for the goods and placed the stolen goods in the back of a van and drove from the scene.

The suspect is described by police as white, aged between 18 and 24, around 6ft tall with short dark hair.

At the time of the theft he was wearing a black top, grey jogging bottoms and blue trainers.

PC Elaine Malcolm, of Richmond Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “I urge anyone who can identify the man caught on CCTV to contact the police or Crimestoppers straight away.”
