71-year-old pedestrian injured on Hookstone Drive

A 71-year-old man suffered two broken legs and a head injury after he was hit by a car on Hookstone Drive.

Police are investigating a collision in Harrogate involving a man and a car on Hookstone Drive, near Wayside Avenue.

A 71-year-old Harrogate man was taken by ambulance to Harrogate District Hospital and later transferred to Leeds General Infirmary with two broken legs and a head injury.

His condition is described as “stable”.

The crash happened at about 5.30pm on Friday November 15 and involved a silver five-door Vauxhall Corsa.

Witnesses are asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2, and ask for Steven Wood or Harrogate Road Policing Group.
