THE following were dealt with by Harrogate magistrates on January 31:

Steven Paul Abbott, 30, of Flat 1, 11 North Street, Ripon, was fined 160 with 45 costs and six penalty points for driving without insurance.

Shane David Harman, 26, of Flat 2, 15 Dragon Avenue, Harrogate, was fined 60 for driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence. He was fined 200 with 45 costs and six penalty points for not having insurance with a fine of 50 for not having a test certificate. For a second set of offences a fine of 80 was imposed for the licence matter, for the insurance offence he was fined 300 with 45 costs and an 18-month ban and for the test certificate offence a 50 fine was imposed.

Stephen Francis Maughan, 20, of 162 Station View, Harrogate, was fined 50 with 50 compensation for damaging a police van. He was fined 100 with 75 compensation for assault on a police officer with intent to resist arrest with a fine of 55 and 50 costs for disorderly behaviour.

Giles Benjamin Stoney, 25, of 52 Stockwell Road, Knaresborough, was fined 200 with 45 costs and five penalty points for speeding.

THE following were dealt with by Harrogate magistrates on January 28:

Gordon Lunn, 81, of 29 The Avenue, Knaresborough, was fined 60 with 45 costs and three penalty points for driving with defective eyesight.

Samantha Anne Murray, 18, of Flat 10, Ashmore House, Dragon Parade, Harrogate, was fined 80 for disorderly behaviour.

John Philip Pearson, 27, of 10 Slingsby Crescent, Harrogate, was fined 130 with 45 costs and four penalty points for careless driving.

Christian Bentley Stead, 32, of 24 Gascoigne Crescent, Harrogate, was fined 130 with 45 costs and six penalty points for not having insurance.

James Kevin Sweeney, 45, of 45 Gallows Hill, Ripon, was ordered to do 80 hours of community punishment work and pay 150 costs and 100 compensation for assault.

Mark Adamson, of 1 Castle Hill Grove, Harrogate, was fined 160 with 45 costs and 80 duty arrears for failing to surrender a licence made void when a cheque was dishonoured.

THE following were dealt with by Harrogate magistrates on January 27:

Hilary Anne Gott, 49, of 6 Queens Road, Harrogate, was fined 150 with 55 costs and a 30-month ban for drink-driving.

Paul Stanley Hullah, 27, of 33 Slingsby Crescent, Harrogate, was fined 150 with 50 costs and a 12-month ban for drink-driving. He was fined 150 for not having insurance and 100 for obstruction of a police officer.

Darren Marshall, 39, of 13 Walworth Avenue, Harrogate, was fined 150 with 25 costs and atwo-year ban for drink-driving. He was fined 50 for failing to comply with vehicle lighting regulations and 30 for using a mobile phone while driving.

Angela McDaniel, 38, of 5 Park Street, Ripon, was fined 150 with 50 costs and 10 penalty points for being in charge of a car after drinking more than the legal alcohol limit.

Ricky Senior, 18, of 21 King Edward Road, Ripon, was fined 200 with 50 costs and 10 penalty points for failing to provide a breath specimen.

Neil Cole, 41, of 12 Sorrel Grove, Harrogate, was fined 50 with 45 costs for urinating in a public place.

Marcus David Fothergill, 32, of 3 Cornflower Way, Harrogate, was fined 200 with 45 costs and five penalty points for speeding.

Martin Douglas Lofthouse, 19, of Moss Cottage, Back Lane, Kirkby Malzeard, was fined 100 with 45 costs and five penalty points for speeding.

Lisa Marie Marsland, 24, of 74a High Street, Knaresborough, was made subject to a 12-month drug treatment and testing order with 250 costs and a six-month ban for driving while disqualified. No separate penalty was imposed for not having insurance.

Laura Helen Simenacz-Mezas, 36, of 9 The Crescent, Ripon, was fined 60 with three penalty points for speeding.

Hai-Mang Truong, 23, of 64 Newby Crescent, Harrogate, was fined 60 with three penalty points for speeding.

Michael Beresford Fidler, 27, of Flat 2, 13 Haywra Street, Harrogate, was fined 140 with 55 costs for threatening behaviour provoking fear of violence being used. He was fined 80 on each of two charges of resisting a police officer in the execution of his duty.

Joseph Fothergill, 49, of Flat 4, 1 Station Square, Harrogate, was conditionally discharged for a year with 50 costs and 56.27 compensation for theft and criminal damage.

Sarah Kathleen Francis, 25, of 7 Avondale Road, Harrogate, was fined 80 with 50 costs for possession of cannabis.

Abigail Harland, 20, of 23 Plantation Terrace, Harrogate, was conditionally discharged for a year with 40 costs for theft.

Clint Paul White, 29, of the same address was fined 100 with 40 costs for theft with a 100 fine for breach of a conditional discharge.
