Ripon Museum Trust needs you.
The three museum sites which altogether have enjoyed nearly 30 years of opening to the public, have a strong team of volunteers to thank for their success.
And now they are looking for new volunteers to help them stride through the next 30. Volunteers of all ages and abilities are welcome and the roles are different and varied.
It could be talking to people, guiding groups, teaching groups, gardening, cleaning, selling, researching, cataloguing or conserving to name but a few.
A volunteer open day is being held on Tuesday, June 28 for anyone interested in finding out more. Between 11am and 4pm at any of the three sites, The Courthouse Museum on Minster Road (near the cathedral), The Prison & Police Museum on St Marygate (opposite the long-stay car park) or The Workhouse Museum & Garden on Allhallowgate (near the Golden Lion Pub)
Staff and volunteers will be on hand to chat and offer advice over a cup of tea and a biscuit.
