A fitness class has spun itself into Hambleton Leisure Centre’s record books.
Twelve months after being introduced at the Northallerton centre the weekly ‘spinning’ class has been expanded into 13 sessions attended by more than 5000 people.
The 45 minute classes see customers climb aboard a static bike in the fitness studio. Instructors guide them through various workout phases including a warm up, steady up-tempo cadences, sprints, climbs and cool-downs.
Resistance is individually controlled to make the pedaling as easy or difficult as wanted, making the classes suitable for any fitness level.
