A HUNDRED local children will be getting a good start to the day when they learn all about what goes into their breakfast later this month as part of Farmhouse Breakfast Week.
The school pupils will be making their own sausages and smoothies and finding out about where their milk and eggs come from in a series of workshops held by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society.
The initiative is one of hundreds of events taking place across the country to celebrate Farmhouse Breakfast Week (January 22-28).
Farmhouse Breakfast Week is organised by HGCA (formerly known as the Home Grown Cereals Authority) and aims to raise awareness of the benefits of eating a healthy breakfast and demonstrate the variety of breakfast foods available in the UK.
