Motoring enthusiasts are gearing up for the Yorkshire Post Motor Show and Classic Car Rally 2017.
Historic Castle Howard will play host to the event for the second time, on Father’s Day, June 18.
Lisa Bradbury, events manager at The Yorkshire Post, said: “We are so excited for Castle Howard to be hosting The Yorkshire Post Motor Show and Classic Car Rally 2017 in its magnificent grounds for the second year running.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity to enjoy a family day out on Father’s Day in beautiful surroundings. There will be plenty for the whole family to enjoy.”
The Kangaroo Kid quad bike stunt show will headline the entertainment programme and visitors will also be able to enjoy displays from car clubs and motor dealers throughout the day.
Castle Howard, which is one of Britain’s finest historic homes and has been immortalised in small and big screen versions of Evelyn Waugh’s celebrated novel Brideshead Revisited, provides a fitting backdrop for the stylish vehicles that will be driving into the estate on Father’s Day.
Rachel Underwood, Castle Howard marketing manager, said: “Following the success of last year’s event, we are thrilled to be hosting The Yorkshire Post Motor Show and Classic Car Rally once again.
“The North Lawn is the perfect showcase for the hundreds of classic cars, vintage vehicles and modern motors we look forward to welcoming. With a fantastic view of the Great Lake and North York Moors beyond it’s a wonderful spot for owners to picnic.
“We are also looking forward to a great programme of family entertainment in the display arena on the South Event Field, which is just a short walk from the North Lawn.”
