A group of 12 volunteers from Wolseley UK came together to dig vegetable patches, prune, lift turf and build a new pathway on Friday, September 21, as part of a gardening day at the Workhouse Museum in Ripon .

The volunteers from the heating and plumbing company joined museum trustees Richard Taylor and Mandy Whitehead in their green-fingered efforts. The Workhouse’s kitchen garden is designed in an 1890s -style and features a variety of fruit and vegetables that were available at that time.
