Paul Sinclair, whose four-year-old daughter Nel suffers from epilepsy said: “Nel loved the event. I can see we are going to get roped into more lessons now.”

Mr Sinclair and his wife Louise are involved in the Harrogate Epilepsy Action support group and they have been trying to encourage more families to get involved.

He said: “All the children had a fantastic time and we had a good number of new families along with all parents looking forward to the next monthly group meeting.

“Nel was delighted to meet some other children with Epilepsy as well as spending time with the children already active in the group.

“The staff at Follifoot Riding Centre were fantastic and really helped to make the day special. Allowing siblings to participate in the event as well made a huge difference to the parents as this is usually not an option when one child has multiple conditions.”
