Excellent weather encouraged a record turnout for Ripon’s Annual Spring Fair at Spa Park on bank holiday Monday.
Organised by Ripon Festivals, the 16th annual event had a varied programme which included a children’s funfair with rides to suit all ages , a go-kart track and a bouncy castle and slide
A variety of charity stalls were also present provided by Ripon Guides and Scouts, the Toy Library, the Walled Garden and the Bible Society am0ng others
A display 0f classic cars was put on by Ripon Old Cars, which has taken part in every Spring Fair, with the annual shield awarded to the best classic car.
Afternoon tea plus ice cream was provided for more than 150 children who also enjoyed a full entertainment programme of magic, Punch and Judy and balloon making.
Ripon Festival chairmanTim Jones welcomed the Mayor, Coun Mick Stanley, to the event along with Couns Alan Skidmore, Mike Chambers and past chairman Coun Bernard Bateman and thanked them for supporting the event, saying it had proved to be an excellent day with the weather and the record number who had attended.
