The ninth annual Ripon Cathedral Beer Festival took place on Bank Holiday Monday in the grounds of Ripon Cathedral.
Once again the sun shone and more than 1,000 people enjoyed a lovely day.
The major fund raiser for the Development Campaign generated more than £14,000 which this year will be directed to the Ripon Cathedral Music Trust, a campaign to raise £5m to protect the future of music in the cathedral and surrounding area for years to come.
The major sponsor of the 2014 event was CNG of Harrogate and many other local businesses also provided generous sponsorship.
There was a selection of 43 beers including a special brew for Le Tour de France from Five Towns Brewery. Another treat was Old Slippage, a local cider grown and produced at Old Sleningford near Ripon.
To entertain the children there was a bouncy castle plus a craft table and a team of four face painters led by the Dean’s secretary.
Four music acts provided entertainment. They were Two Well Worn, Richie Schmarler, King Courgette and Clayton Brooks.
