BBC television programme Antiques Roadshow is returning to Fountains Abbey near Ripon – 17 years after the popular show last visited the World Heritage Site.

The programme – presented by Fiona Bruce – will be at the tourist attraction on Thursday, July 12.

Among the team of experts at Fountains Abbey on the day will be Paul Atterbury, Hilary Kay, Geoffrey Munn, and Judith Miller. Along with the other members of the team they will be on hand to offer free valuations and advice to visitors. The doors are open from 9.30am until 4.30pm and entry to the event is free.

It’s not too late to contact the programme’s makers if you have any large items that you would like valued.

Details and photographs of the objects can be posted to: ANTIQUES ROADSHOW, BBC, Whiteladies Road, Bristol, BS8 2LR; or alternatively they can be sent to antiques.roadshow@bbc.co.uk

Producers of the show say it may be possible to arrange to look at items in advance and organise transportation to the venue.
