A PUBLIC meeting has been called to explain the planning inquiry process to residents in Boston Spa.
With the Church Fields appeal set to begin in less than two weeks, community leaders and planning experts will be offering advice to residents on how the process works.

Among those present will be ward and parish councillors, along with Leeds City Council’s community planner, Sarah Hellewell, who will be answering questions.

The meeting will be held in Boston Spa Village Hall on Tuesday, March 9 from 7pm.

Meanwhile, ward councillor Alan Lamb has spoken out in support of the campaign to protect Church Fields from development.

He spoke out in advance of the appeal, which will see developer Taylor Wimpey challenge Leeds City Council’s rejection of its two applications for the Church Fields site in the centre of Boston Spa.

The appeal will be heard at Boston Spa Village Hall from Thursday, March 18. The deadline for sending letters to the planning inspectorate has been extended to March 12. For more information on how to contact the planning inspectorate visit www.bostonspapc.org.uk.
