GREASE is the word - and so it will be at Tadcaster Grammar School this month when students present the immortal musical.
The 1950s rock and roll extravaganza has captivated audiences since it was first produced on Broadway in 1972 and is expected to be a sell-out at Tadcaster.

The all-singing, all-dancing cast has been rehearsing furiously since last term for the show, which will take place in the Main Hall from Thursday, March 25 to Saturday, March 27 at 7.30pm each evening.

Grease the musical was immortalised by John Travolta as Danny and Olivia Newton-John as Sandy in the 1978 film version.

Set at Rydell High School, audiences will be taken back in time to 1959 by English teacher Miss Lynch (Laura Lister) and former students Patty Simcox (Emma Grainger) and Eugene Florckyz (Will Gigg).

Claire Duckworth, Assistant Headteacher said: "The students have worked extremely hard and are looking forward to showcasing their talents in this wonderful musical. We hope to see you there!"

Tickets are available from Tadcaster Grammar School. For more information call 01937 833466.
