STUDLEY Royal will be licking their wounds this week after suffering a heavy defeat at the hands of Dunnington on Saturday in the York Senior Premier Division.

Steve Walmsley’s men were then bowled out for 217 in reply with Johnson (6-80) proving his worth with the ball.

Charlie Scatchard (56) and Matt Pickles (39 top scoring for the Royals.

SESSAY came unstuck against leaders Woodhouse Grange.

Sessay could only post 113-8 batting first with Nick Thorne (36) top scoring.

Richard Till tried his best with 4-28 in reply but Grange just had enough in the tank coming through in the 45th over with four wickets in hand.

In Division Two RIPON failed to come on top in their fixture against Beverley.

Their opponents made 222-6. Skipper Chris Warters (36) and John Davey (37) tried their best in reply but the Studley Road outfit were short on 152-6.
