Wetherby Runners have celebrated their best ever finish in the West Yorkshire Cross Country League.
Both the men’s and women’s teams finished as runners-up, the highest placing in the club’s ten-year history.
However, competition was thin on the ground this week after the previous exploits of runners.
Nigel and Tracey McKaine tackled the Worksop Half Marathon on Sunday alongside more than 1,600 runners.
Nigel came 17th in his age category, finishing in one hour 31 minutes 42 seconds. Tracey (1:49:53) was 18 miuntes down the road in 13th in her category.
Members of the club joined together at the club on Wednesday to show off their silverware and competition t-shirts.
