Ripon Rugby failed to turn possession into points for a second week running as high-flying Yarnbury 2nds overcame them 17-8 at Mallorie Park on Saturday.
Jason Bell scored Ripon’s only try in the first half before Yorkshire Two’s second best side stormed clear.
Their seventh defeat left Richard Dixon’s Blues in 13th, with only bottom side Baildon below them.
Fourth-bottom Moortown entertain Ripon on Saturday.
From the kick off receipt, Ripon took the play to Yarnbury and pressed the visitors into making errors.
Ashley Rio was presented with his first point scoring opportunity after seven minutes but his penalty attempt narrowly missed.
Shortly afterwards an elusive break by Rob Harrison saw Rob Nicholson in close support to put Jason Bell in at the corner.
The visitors responded with their trademark line out catch and drive, which saw their pack trundle in from 20 metres for a converted try.
The second half saw much of the same, with Rio adding a further penalty goal from three attempts and Yarnbury scoring a further converted try and a penalty.
