Runner Green leaves no Major Stone unturned to win women’s category

Ripon Runner Tori Green continued her impressive form as she took the £100 prize in the Major Stone Half Marathon.

Green won the women’s category in one hour 26 minutes.

Six Ripon Runners tackled the Wetherby 10k and Ben Imeson impressed finishing as the club’s first runner in 36.50.

Alex Fawcett (38.39) and Joe Lofthouse (39.32) were close behind Imeson.

Sharon Barlow Hamilton was the first Ripon lady to finish in 40.00. Emma Robinson (42.05),

Ian Swinscoe (46.47) and Kim Holden (51.28) also competed. Bill Foreman led the finishers at the gruelling 26-mile off-road Yorkshireman as he ended 10th in three hours 38 minutes.

Paul Walker (4.04) came 38th.Martin Gabriel (4.28) and Simon Merrin (4.32) came 62nd and 65th respectively.
