Hulme Cup final joy for Ripon Reserves

Ripon Reserves lifted the Hulme Cup last weekend, after a 3-1 win over HAMPSTHWAITE at Knaresborough Town.

Personnel from 34 Squadron RAF Regiment took part in a charity football match against former members of the self same regiment. The match was held to raise funds for the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund (RAFBF) and the chosen charities of SAC Ryan Tomlin's family. SAC Ryan Tomlin was a serving Airman on 2 Squadron RAF Regiment when he was mortally wounded in the Nad-E-Ali district of Helmand Province in February 2012. The match, which Bedale Athletic Sports Association kindly allowed use of their grounds for, ended with the current 34 Sqn members winning 8-2.
