Tadcaster Albion returned to the pinnacle of NCEL Premier by thrashing Garforth Town 4-1 in the Yorkshire derby.

Goals from Jamie Williamson, Danny Critchlow, Terry Taylor and Carl Stewart gave Albion victory in front of a season’s best 308 at 2inspire Park.

Paul Marshall’s men leapfrogged Barton Town Old Boys at the top of table, with 69 points from 33 games.

The Old Boys sit two points below Albion, with two games in hand.

In Division One, Knaresborough Town fell down 2-0 to 14th placed Rossington Main at Manse Lane.

Tenth-placed Town have now won just once in their last six matches.

Meanwhile, Harrogate Railway’s trip to Northwich Victoria in Evo-Stik First Division North was postponed.
