AFTER Saturday's defeat at home to Bedlington Terriers NORTHALLERTON TOWN'S survival campaign hits top gear tomorrow when they travel to fellow strugglers Bishop Auckland (3pm ko).
The must-win clash represents a great chance for Town to move away from the relegation places near the bottom of the Northern League Division One table.

On Saturday The Regency Stadium side were poor in their 3-0 home defeat against Bedlington.
John Ryan missed a good chance to make it 1-0 to the home side but it was Patrick Pisani in the Town goal who had to be alert to keep out the Terriers.

The visitors got the first breakthrough before the break to leave Town very much in the game at 1-0.

Town tried to hit back in the second half but after Stuart Jackson received his second yellow card and given an early bath, it was always an uphill task from then on.

Ryan could have levelled proceedings soon after before Bedlington made it two halfway through the second half to kill the game off.

There was still time for them to add a third to seal the three points leaving Town still in danger near the bottom of the Division One table.

Over in the Teesside League, RICHMOND Mavericks stormed to a 5-1 win over Darlington RA Reserves in Division One.

Houlbrook (2), Allison, Dunwoodie and Thompson were all on the scoresheet for Mavericks who travel to contest a local derby with Richmond Town tomorrow (2pm).

Town meanwhile, drew 2-2 at North Ormesby in Group One of the Lou Moore Trophy.

Layfield and Pickersgill both found the net for Town in their draw.
