SATURDAY saw victories for all of Thirsk Hockey Club's senior teams, the Men's 1sts victorious by two goals to nil at home to Hull 3rds.
Phil Hughes opened their account before Andy Carney’s reverse stick flick made it 2-0.
The win puts them second in the table with a game in hand on Yorkshire Division Two leaders Harrogate.
The Men’s 2nds collected a 2-1 success away at Huddersfield in Division Eight to move ninth in the table, and further away from relegation.
Jono Sharman pounced on a loose ball to make it 1-0 and Ben Taylor slotted away Thirsk’s second.
Elsewhere, the Ladies 1sts won 1-0 at Bingley Bees, pushing them up to second in Division One.
The ladies seconds were due to host Scarborough but the opposition could not raise a team so Thirsk take the game as conceded.
An understrength U-14s Boys were in Yorkshire League action at Pocklington School, losing 5-0 to Ben Rhydding and 2-0 to Wakefield, but a goal by Rafe Skippings saw them collect a win over Slazengers.
