RAIN once again turned the York Senior League programme into a washout, one of the victims the Premier Division derby between Thirsk and Sessay.
Third-placed Thirsk managed to start the game against their rivals Sessay but only two balls were delivered before the players were forced to retreat to the pavilion with the scoreboard showing one run of no wicket.

In Division One, Studley Royal’s game with Crayke was abandoned due to a waterlogged pitch while in Division Two, Ripon saw their game with Osbaldwick abandoned with Osbaldwick stopped at 45-2.

See Friday’s Northallerton, Thirsk and Bedale Times for more cricket news and match previews of the York Senior League and North Yorkshire South Durham League.
